Who’s behind it

The two of us build it, and we don’t do it alone.

Further begins with two people from Patagonia, bringing together local tourism operations and experience building new ventures. We are starting where we come from, with the ambition to create running journeys in other places too.

A reference in Argentine tourism and recreation. He started out as a ski instructor and has run mountain lodges across several ranges since. He directed the Cruce Andino between Bariloche and Chile, and today leads Circe Club del Lago and the camps at Lago Falkner. For years he has organised the Calafate and Iguazú 21K, the Bariloche Running Ultra Trail, and running routes from Chile down to El Calafate.

He has spent his career helping organisations build new businesses and navigate deep change, and now builds ventures at the intersection of AI, sustainability and impact. Running arrived late and quickly became more than a sport: after the Madrid Marathon he keeps looking for new trails — the Pyrenees, the sierra outside Madrid, and home in Patagonia.

“The best conversations, ideas and perspectives tend to show up while moving through nature.” That is where Further came from.

Questions
What if I cannot run a stage?

Tell us before booking so we can discuss suitability. The available support and alternatives will depend on the final route and operating plan; we are not promising an unrestricted alternative every day.
